There are various ways to find cheap flights.
Since I have been crossing the Globe, and so far travelling into almost 70 countries, I would like to share some of my secrets about finding cheap flight tickets.
You might be surprised but I still use very common and popular flight browser as Skyscanner.com, Trip.com, Despegar.com or Kayak.com.
There are some of the most common tips:
1.NEVER buy one-way tickets.
These tickets are always the most expensive (even sometimes more expensive than return ticket).
If you buy one-way air ticket, the airline loses a lot of money because of it, so that is why the one-way ticket is much more expensive than the return ticket.
2. Before you decide to do final purchase, please compare the price on various web browsers as Skyscanner, despegar.com or trip.com.
3. Buying through above-mentioned agencies is always cheaper than on the proper airline website.
The online agencies prepay the huge amount of tickets in the aeroplane and sell it for their price, that is why it is cheaper to buy on skyscanner.com rather than directly on the website of the air company.
4. Accumulate your points from your credit/debit card.
Many commercials offer to exchange your accumulated points into flights.
Once you pay with your bank card, you will get points, and later you can change them for air tickets.
This option helped me a lot in South America and a few times I exchanged my points into international flights.
5. The most important!!!!
This is the most important and most relevant point.
Whenever you use web browsers you have to accept cookies policy, right?
This makes your social media and websites remember what you have been doing on your computer.
Didn’t you have the situation that you were trying to find some shoes, and later all your social media are filled with shoes ads?
This is how cookies work and also how much this impacts the ticket price.
The first thing I do when I start searching for my flights is to close all y social media canals. Later I deleted all the history of the browsers.
In this way all the cookies will be deleted and the air tickets prices will not increase.
6. Always search for flights in incognito or private browsing mode to see the lowest prices.
The browsers as Google Chrome or Safari incognito is enabled by hitting Command (or “Control” if using PC), Shift, “N.
7. Chose the cheapest month of the year.
Skyscanner gives you the option.
8. Choose the cheapest days of the month.
Skyscanner shows you cheapest flights in the certain days, pick the one that have the cheapest date.
9. Explore the World options.
This one works perfectly if you don’t know where to go and don’t have a time limitation.
Trip.com and Skyscanner have these options and I have been using them quite often too.
This option is the most convenient as you just put the airport where do you want to fly from and later, it shows the best options on particular dates.
10. Buy MULTIPLE DESTINATIONS.
This option is my favourite.
Did you know that more flights you book at the same time, the better price you have?
Start planning your trip choosing multiple city option.
Air companies always take benefits only if the whole aeroplane is fully booked.
The option of multiple tickets is always very convenient and gives you a better price than buying tickets separately.
I have been using all this options for all my flights and luckily I am able to fly cheap and a lot, across the Globe.
So far I have visited almost 70 countries. If you know more options how to find cheap flights, please let me know in the comments below.
